Lately...

Um, so yeah... I've been a little busy. But, I wanted to share what I've been busy with. There is no doubt about it, I am the happiest I've ever been. I get to do what I love... every single day... with no question. It is absolutely amazing. But, I get into these obsessions... sun flares, shadows, and my latest obsession... Silhouettes. I LOVE them! But not everyone can get one, which makes me sad... so for those few that get to share that amazing time of day with me, I always throw a TON in. Sorry if it's an overload...but what can I say, I just adore them! Just look at this one with my friend Glory and her sweet little family...

You would never know from the above picture that their super cute son is really a crazy, super hyper, wants to be chased around, rambunctious little boy!! He was so fun! It's been a while since I've had to chase a kid around, but it was good! I had so much fun with them!

This is my amazing best friend. We've been known to get into some trouble, have some late nights, and some crazy early mornings, and some crazy times in an airport. She is my go to girl for a fun photo shoot. She's up for anything, and she doesn't mind acting a little crazy for me. We did a few other sessions this year... and this time we decided to go with an "emo" theme. Which, it's not really emo, but it gave her an excuse to wear her super cool Billa Bong hat! This girl is absolutely amazing... I LOVE her!

And finally for today, one of my sister's and her amazing little family needed some pictures for Christmas cards, so this morning we met in Terrell at a Christmas tree farm and took some cute, fun, super FREEZING pictures! Literally, it was 35 degrees outside, and it was drizzling the entire time! So, let's just say the session was the shortest in my photography history! But, with a little coaching on some fun stuff to wear, and letting my niece chase her crazy Aunt Lauren around, we got some amazing shots! I had so much fun, and I think my sister is GORGEOUS!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this family! If you ever need an example of the way an amazing husband and wife look like, please look to them! He has set the standard incredibly high!

Ok... blog overload... I just wanted to share though...
Also, if you haven't seen or heard yet, I am teaching "The Second Workshop" through Fairy Tale Photography! I am SUPER excited about it! It's going to be a great day, filled with some super helpful hints and tricks... followed by a great portfolio build! I am crazy anxious for this day! So, go to the Fairy Tale blog and check out all the info! Pass the word along too. The more the merrier! It's going to be a lot of fun, you really won't want to miss it!

Model Shoot-New Orleans

I am absolutely awful at keeping up with my personal blog. So sorry friends! I miss it! I WILL do better! You may have to stay on my case to help bring me back to the blog world though... so I'm asking for your help! Keep me accountable blog world!

So, last week I had the amazing opportunity to go to New Orleans with the Pictage Photographers Conference! It was incredible! I learned a ton. Met a ton of amazing photographers. Discovered I LOVE hanging with photogs! We got to shoot some gorgeous models in the streets of New Orleans. And I had a blast! These are a few sneaks..

Remember... Keep me accountable!

Bridals

Like I've said before... I have a weird relationship with bridal sessions! I ABSOLUTELY love them! But I am learning I'm not so patient! As soon as I shoot them, and start looking through them I desperately want to post them! UGH! It's like a little torture device waiting for the wedding day so I can show off a gorgeous beautiful bride!

Well, I couldn't resist this time... so I thought I'd give a little sneaky peek!

Leisha Beautiful Bride!

I absolutely LOVE bridal sessions! But I have a very love/hate relationship with them! As soon as I'm done shooting them, I want to post them all over! But... can't. God is definitely working on my patience! So... since Chris and Leisha got married last weekend, I get to show off her gorgeous, old school, antique-y bridals!

M and M

Sorry if you were expecting pictures of colorful candy when you saw the title to this one!

A few weeks ago, I got to have so much fun hanging out with these GORGEOUS girls! And you can tell from these pics, they have personality to share with everyone!

One day, she will HATE me for this... but for now... it's SO cute!
Not a day goes by, that I cannot believe this is what I get to spend my days doing! I am so extremely blessed! God has really been opening my eyes lately to just how much he loves each and every one of us! I can't even describe how much I love what my "job" is! I feel like I am living a dream each day! I think that I even have some motion sickness for just how fast my life is going, and how much of a whirl wind my life has been since I began working for Laura Parker!

Chris and Leisha

I got to share in the wedding day of one of my greatest friends! We have been friends for SO long! In about a month Chris got home from a summer in Iraq, finally graduating from A&M, and got married to a gorgeous girl! They had such a fun day!
Oh, and not to mention I was so incredibly privileged to shoot with Alex Maldonado!! He was more than amazing!

I love seeing all the cute little text messages that couples send each other through out the day! And I just love this one... you can definitely see their love in this!
It always amazes me the things girls do the day of their wedding...
and the things boys do on their wedding day!
I LOVE rings!! This is a journal that Chris gave to Leisha. He had been writing this journal all summer while he was in Iraq!

The awesome-ness that is Alex Maldonado!
Chris and Leisha did corporate worship during their ceremony, and it was so special! Each of Chris' groomsmen were in the band, so Alex made the boys feel like rock stars for a day!

Alex had the amazing idea to sneak out the red couch to do some super fun pictures with the happy/newly married couple!
This is SUPER special because for their engagement session we had some fun with a red chair out in a field.

I also LOVE bubbles! They had maybe the most bubbles I've ever seen in a bubble leave! Props to all the guest there, they were awesome bubble machines!
